Verzuz SOLD!

Writer: PR For The Electra NetworkPR For The Electra Network

The parent company to Tik Tok, Triller, has bought Verzus from Timberland and Swizz Beats.

Rolling Stone reports that Swizz Beats and Timberland sold "...the live-streaming song battle franchise..." How much was Verzuz sold for? We don't know! The information about the finances has not been disclosed.

So since Verzuz was intended for the people, what will be the future of the platform? We don't know but with the battle between Triller and Universal Music Group, it's all in limbo.

In a joint statement, Timberland and Swizz Beatz had this to say,

"This is a momentous occasion not only for Verzuz and Triller but the music business as a whole,...By putting Verzuz in the Triller Network ecosystem and expanding the Verzuz brand to be side by side with the powerful Triller app, we will be able to continue to grow and evolve the music business as a whole, as we have been doing. To have partners in Triller who share our vision, specifically to celebrate and elevate the amazing artists who continue to shape culture around the world and give the consumer more direct access, is game changing.”
