QuestLove & Common give up the Funk for upcoming documentary

These two will join forces to star in an upcoming documentary about funk royalty, Sly Stone, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. QuestLove will narrate & Common will work as the Executive Producer. Both will give life to the once banned mantra of "...breakin' all the rules..." As reported by HipHopDX.com, on Questlove's reflecting on the documentary,

“It goes beyond saying that Sly’s creative legacy is in my DNA— it’s a Black musician’s blueprint,” he said. “To be given the honor to explore his history and legacy is beyond a dream for me.”
