New York, New York. On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, Def Jam Records and DJ Sussone’s The Feature Presentation family collaborated with Sony Studios to produce an exclusive star-studded screening of the highly anticipated film “Black and Blue” featuring Tyrese, which tells a story about corrupt cops in the city of New Orleans and one African American woman’s quest to change a narrative.
The “Dinner and a Movie” themed night was a hit. From a private pre-movie cocktail reception to personalized seats sans name cards, everyone wined and dined from a customized menu filled with a delectable dinner menu, chocolates, candies, and cocktails to their liking.
Celebrity guests such as Wendy Williams; DJ Boof (DJ for Wendys Show; Fabulous; and Nicki Minaj); Hood Celebrity, Maino, Yalee, Kiing Shooter, Breez; NBDY ; and more were spotted seaking their personalized seats prior to the film’s start.
VH1’s Mariah Lynn, Ms. Moe Money, Sky Landish; and Richie Dollaz had a reunion in their seats while MTV’s Wild’N Out Justina Valentine, Sirius XM’s Swaggy Sie, and Sdot partied in the aisles. Also in attendance were DJ Sussone’s artists LeA Robinson, Jennaske and Chanti McCoy who shared a few laughs as they flicked it up with celebrity stylist Mickey Freeman. Radio heads such as Power 105.1’s Honey German, Nyla Simone, and Hot 97’s DJ Drewski were also in the building.
Social Media influencers Bryana Shaw, Krystal Vargas, Lucki Starr, Rae Holliday, Mapy, and comedians Mr. Commodore and TravQue posted up, letting their followers know that “Dinner & A Movie with DJ Suss One”, is an event you don’t want to miss.
DJ Suss One started off the main event by sharing some welcoming words and after the film, he ended the night with an exclusive interview and movie review by recording artist/actor Dave East. The entire night was nothing less than epic with memorable people, good vibes, and amazing movie reviews.
Every seat was filled with influential people who attended in support of DJ Sussone and his desire to push the culture forward.
“Black and Blue” will officially hit theaters Friday, October 25th!
