NBA World Reacts To The Isaiah Thomas News

Writer: Damon WhethersDamon Whethers

After a slew of free-agent additions already this offseason, the Lakers may not be done just yet.

According to recent reports from NBA insider Marc Stein, the Los Angeles front office have “weighed the potential signing” of free-agent point guard Isaiah Thomas.

Thomas played with the Lakers for 17 games during the 2017-18 season, averaging 15.6 point and 5.0 assists per game. After making his return from a hip surgery this past season, the two-time All Star signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans. But, following just three games with New Orleans, he was not re-signed on a second deal.

The news of the Lakers’ interest in Thomas comes just a few days after he dropped 81 points in Jamaal Crawford’s Pro-Am league, TheCrawsOver.

NBA fans from around the league took to Twitter to react to Thomas’ potential comeback.
